PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ RESCHEDULE/CANCELLATION POLICY: 

Strong therapeutic relationships are built on boundaries and mutual respect. This includes how we regard one another’s time and financial resource. I explain this to educate because, reasonably, it may not be fully understood unless explained. Please consider that I am only paid when I see clients; I am not salaried. Due to the physical nature of bodywork, I see about four to five clients a day. When I make an appointment with you, I do not give it to anyone else. Therefore when a client doesn’t give proper notice of a rescheduled appointment, I may not be able to refill the appointment and lose up to a quarter of my income for the day. I’m also not able to give clients on my waiting list enough notice so they may fill this missed appointment. When you agree to an appointment time with me, whether a courtesy reminder is sent or not, please be sure to make necessary arrangements/plans in your schedule to ensure keeping your appointment time.

My policy is as follows; signing acknowledges your understanding and agreement:

I understand that a minimum of 24 hours notice is required to reschedule an appointment unless due to emergency. I understand if I believe a circumstance otherwise warrants a waiver, the burden is on me to reach out to Claire to discuss the situation further. Otherwise, I agree to pay the full fee of $50 for half hour, $85 for hour, and $125 for ninety minute appointments rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice or for “no-show” appointments. I will expect to pay this fee before my next appointment. Also, if I am late to my appointment, I understand that whether or not Claire is able to accommodate giving me my full time, I will pay the full fee due for the service. Unless 24 hours notice is given, I also agree to pay for the full amount of time previously agreed to, should I need to shorten my appointment for any reason.

Additionally, I understand that if I notify Claire that I can send someone in my place (i.e. a family member, friend, or partner) to take the appointment I cannot make, with as much notice as possible, the rescheduling fee will be waived. If that person does not show for the appointment, I understand that I am still responsible for the full amount of the rescheduling fee.

I also understand that if I am frequently rescheduling/missing my appointments, it may send the message that I am not invested, should reconsider if massage and/or bodywork is still serving me, and honestly communicate this to Claire. If there is something I can communicate to make the appointments more worth my while I will consider expressing this to Claire. I understand Claire values feedback.
